The boys in the energy filled hard rock band Wildnite are pretty young, but that never stopped them from becoming a well educated live band. The band plays energetic and hard-hitting rock n roll, none the less they show an attitude and a stage presence which most bands can admire. The music is being played regularly on the radio abroad, and the single “Tears ‘N’ Fire” has been seen almost 170 000 times on Youtube.
The young hard rockers started up back in 2012 by the two friends Baron Sobye (Lead Vocals and Lead Guitar) and Nikki Starr (Bass). They joined forces with Danny Deluxe (Drums) and Kailey D’Ville (Rhythm Guitar). Within two years, the band found their sound, which was heavily rooted in the 80’s hard rock scene, and won the ‘’Vidar Strands Minnefond Bluesmaraton’’.
The following year the band’s first line-up change occurred, when Lazy Jr. (lead guitar) joined the band. The five-piece then signed up with ‘’Live Management’’, and released their first single ‘’Into Your Eyes’’. Late 2016 the band’s second line-up change occurred, when drummer Danny Deluxe was replaced by new drummer Eric Rotz (ex. Faen Ta drummer).
The wheels started rolling in 2016, when they played at Rockefeller and won the Oslo-finals in one of the world’s biggest band competitions “Emergenza”. In 2017 they won another competition arranged by Tons Of Rock and Metalhammer, where they won a scholarship and got the honor to play at the Tons Of Rock Festival with bands like Five Finger Death Punch, Slayer, Airbourne and many more. Wildnite really delivered the goods at the festival, and it was a memorable experience for both the band and the audience. After the release of their debut album in April 2018, the band spent the rest of the year touring and playing concerts, which includes tour with Åge Steen Nilsen’s Ammunition and a headliner tour in eastern Europe. The band has played with bands like Hardline, Michael Monroe, TNT, Backstreet Girls, Chris Holmes (Ex. W.A.S.P.), Electric Boys, Quireboys, Hank Von Hell, Uli Jon Roth, Gus G and Ronnie Romero to name a few.
